Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Pre-Vocational Skills Program receives referrals from anyone in the community, including medical providers, group homes, rehabilitation centers, state vocational rehabilitation, family members or friends, of the individual. The individual will be referred to one of our Employment Specialists, who will then set up tours at different businesses the individual is interested in. After the individual and Employment Specialist decides what path is going to be taken, the Employment Specialist will set up job tours, situational work assessments and a trial work experience to help further develop their job skills and abilities. The goal of the program is to provide a stepping stone for individuals from the time they exit outpatient rehabilitation but before they return to work in order to prepare them to be “work ready”.
