Day Support Services offers a personalized day program called “At-Your-Service” (AYS).

AYS is a unique day service alternative to traditional facility based day programs. Not only are all services provided within community based settings, but there are also no prescribed activities or programs from which people must choose. Instead, each person is assisted in designing a personalized program based on their specific interests and desired outcomes.

The real advantage of the AYS program is its flexibility. Individualized services are provided through the use of individual and small group supervised activities and can be provided up to 40 hours per week, to include day, night or weekend hours. The program allows a person to set outcomes in areas such as:

• Self-help skills        
• Community access
• Socialization        
• Recreation and leisure
• Health and wellness    
• Pre-vocational skills
• Safety            
• Advocacy

Support staff are at the service of each person, therefore individuality, personal choice and control are respected and promoted. Whenever possible, natural supports will be developed and encouraged, as paid supports tend to be artificial, restrictive and stigmatizing by their nature.

Each person is assisted in designing a personlized program based on their specific interests and desired outcomes.
